In mid June, Wild West Ferments will open a retail shop attached to their production space in Point Reyes Station. It will feature picnic and pantry items with a focus on preservation and fermentation. There will be house fermented veggies, a cheese shop, wild ales & natural wines, probiotic beverages on tap, educational elements and more. Please join us in this exciting retail adventure. We aim to create a dynamic, positive work experience with lots of learning and engagement and potential for growth while being rooted in the belief that life outside of work is also of true importance.
Opening hours to start will be Friday-Monday 10-4, Thursdays will likely be added eventually. Starting pay at $19.50/hour with a .50 raise soon after and some retail perks.
We are currently looking to fill all retail positions:
Register
Tasks include: Operation of POS and cash register. Customer care/assistance. Some maintenance of stock, displays and retail space.
Retail Floor and Cheese Counter
Tasks include: Maintaining stock, displays and retail space including cheese counter. Customer care/assistance. Managing sample stations. Retail Floor workers must familiarize themselves with all products, especially those produced by Wild West Ferments. Cheese experience a plus!
Beverage
Tasks include: Being familiar with all beverages sold, especially those produced in house (fermented sodas and tonics and more). Serving beverages to order via our tap and other systems. Operating beverage focused POS.
Our ideal retail worker is someone who is:
-Dedicated to maintaining a positive work environment
-Values high quality customer service
-Ready to handle a high volume of customers
-Will help craft and maintain an attractive retail space & displays
-Knowledgeable and/or curious about fermentation, and preservation
-Knowledgeable and/or curious about the relationship between food and culture
-Ok working on the floor up to 8 hours
-Can be flexible as shifts, procedures, and workflow are fine tuned
-Excited to work for a small business with big ideas!
